Lair of the golden bear is a VERY fun camp that my cousin [M] and I go to every year since we were.... well, young.  And a lot of other cousins.  I'll tell you a little about it.       Let me get one thing clear: 'Bear Bucks' is money.  It's money put into a bank at the camp that has a name-- Bear Bucks.  So, when I say Bear Bucks it's just a fancy name for money at the camp.                                  Bear Bucks:Real Money.

There is a 'Candy Shack' that is open during the day.  It had candy, soda, gum, some clothes with the lair logo.  The 'Burger Shack' is open during the night after the Shows.  You get burgers, fries, curly fries, garlic fries, ice cream, hot chocolate, and coffee.  The Shows are little or big long or short plays or announcements that the staff put on.  Most of them(when I mean most I mean almost every single one) are comedy.  Some are announcements and one play at the end is a long dramatic comedy fake play with animal costumes and stuff like that.  They even have their own songs.  One of them is something about California another about Mountain Dew, and then they make a couple new ones each year.

The Dinning Hall is the place where people eat three times a day -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Like the kitchen, but you don't cook AT ALL!!!! Yay fun, well l think it is.   The lounge is the Burger Shack in the morning and after noon--always open.
Disco Wednesday is when people go to the dinning hall waaayyy after dinner and play bingo, but before bingo is played people are dressed in 60's or 70's clothes and everybody who isn't in the contest cheers [or yells] the loudest for their favorite outfit.

There are age groups.  With every age group there are two counselors/leaders(who work at thew camp.  The age groups are: 6-7, 8-9, pre teens, and teens.  6-7's do cute little paintings and jewelry making.  The 6-7's do an animal face painting parade with around the Dinning Hall.  8-9's can walk together(with counselor/ leader) to the local beach, and picnic.  The bad thing is that you cannot go
in the water.  They can see a movie at the local outside movie theater.  What do l mean by outside movie theater?  Outside.  But the movies have to be G or PG.  The pre-teens can walk to the local beach(with
counselor/leader) to the beach and go paddle boating
in the water.  They can see G, PG, or PG-13 movies.  The teens paint ball wars at midnight.  And, since I'm not in that group, I don't know much more.  By the way those activities are just the few l remember.  Lots of people go so the children do make friends and could email each other or call each other.

Adults can make friends with other Adults.  They can tie-die(everyone can if older the 9 without an Adult), go to the lounge for internet connection [if you brought your laptop].  And massages, baseball/softball, hiking, and other secret Adult things they won't say.  An adult is 18-19 and older. A teen in 13-17.

                                                I go to week 9.
FUN!

Yep, I'm the one who loves pigs. Some people might be wondering why I like pigs, and what the story is. Some have absolutely no care for what I'm going to write. Those people, well, I don't care what you do; read it, or not.

The story is when one of my cousins came over before I was going to go to the Lair of the Golden Bear(I will tell you what that camp is in another post).  Her name is Mary-Kate.  We were around the age of 5th and 4th grade(i don't really remember).  Before that, I never knew about Webkinz.  Yes, Webkinz. I know.  She had a Webkinz pig.  She let me play games on it, of course, I didn't know that playing games would get you money, and she was using me- kinda.  I REALLY started to obsess over it.  After the camp(Lair of the Golden Bear) she left to home, and I didn't get to play with it anymore.
I really wanted one, so I made a deal with my dad; if i get ALL A's and B's I get a Webkinz of my choice(of course it would be a pig). He said, "Yes." (he didn't know the price!! hehe-funny!!).  I got all good grades.  When my dad bought my pig it was the day my mom's work threw a party for everyone who worked there and could go. I told all the people that became my friend that I got a Webkinz. They didn't know what that was; so I explained it.

They ALL ran up to their parents [at the end] of the party and asked for a Webkinz, because the store was so close to where the party was held. The kids with the strict parents didn't let them go there. Some of them went there. And only a couple got one --except one girl-- she got two.

After a while I started to collect pig [not just Webkinz pigs, stuffed animal pigs too]. II wouldn't even eat pork, bacon, ribs, or any other pig meat. It went crazy from there. My mom told everyone in my family that I loved pigs.  Then came the following Christmas...  So all I got from Christmas were stuffed pigs, clothes with pigs on them, piggy slippers, christmas cards with  pigs on them(even 3D cards!!), sock-with pigs on them!! I got a couple things without pigs on them like; games, game-boards, soap[!], some regular Christmas cards, rapping paper, and other no-piggy things things. OH! I even got two mini pig flash-lights that OINK!!!!!!! Those are cool! I still have them.
Oh, I still like pigs...... you REALLY should know that.

      Yup, that's my story!

These are a few sayings I made up.

Friendship is like peeing your pants; everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

Happiness is like a warm gun; be careful who you shoot it at; you don't want the wrong person to be happy!

Life is like long, beautiful, wavy hair; so don't cut it short.

Life is like a pair of shoes; make sure you put them on the right feet!

A troubled life is like digging a hole that you need to get out of; try to pull yourself out before you stay in there forever.

Life is like fish in a fish bowl; don't forget to feed the fish!

Babies are like a flashing light bulb; don't forget to change them!

Self esteem is like a bubble; don't pop it!

Self esteem is like shooting a basketball; try not to miss!

A big person could hold a little heart while a little person could hold many hearts.

-in courtesy of Meg for helping me think of a few of these.  HI MEG!

Maggie is my 4 year old dog.  She is medium sized with long legs.  Maggie is an Australian shepherd/border collie mix [blue mural(MUR-RAL)].  She has brown eyes, and a long snout with her cute pink tongue.  She has a short stud for a tail.

Maggie loves neck massages, belly rubs, baths, and canned dog food.  She loves going to the nearby park and play fetch with her tennis ball.  Maggie loves her squeaky or squeeze [then the stuffed animal will make noises] toys.

When she swims in our swimming pool what she does is: jumps in the pool with a 'yip' and uses her front paws to splash the water up to her face; 'bite' the water and yip [in a high pitch] all at the same time! It's pretty funny!!!

When Maggie takes a nap she rolls over on her back [tummy up] with all fours up in the straight up!  Her top lip gravitates down and it makes her expression look like a Crocodile's snout!  It's a precious moment because rarely she ever takes naps anymore and if you make the slightest noise-she hears it.

When she sleeps her head is ALWAYS on a bed or a pillow!  She twitches a lot, too.   Her eyes are shut gently and her long lashes are see able [rather than wide and curious]. Her legs are finally resting her ears now down and un-perked.  When she tired she's very adorable!

    Her
bed is everywhere, every room that has something for her to lie on/in.

    Her
food dish in near the door to the garage.

When we leave she stays in a yard on the side of the house which we call 'the side yard' -so original- and if she is being bad or gets into trouble she goes to the 'side yard' as a punishment.

Maggie like to eat human food [that WE give her]:
- broccoli stems-onions -i know~weird-  -asparagus stems-bread      ect..
    Some
of what she sneaks to eat:
-oreos  (the whole box)-goldfish -about a bagful(plastic baggy)--doughnuts (two! and they were mine!)          ect..

She can be naughty, but ALWAYS get her way in the end because of how cute she is!!!
